Student Senate
The River Falls Student Senate maintains several standing committees that senators and students may sit on. These committees deal with a variety of issues directly effecting River Falls students.
Student Affairs and Academic Services
This committee consists of four Student Senators and four students at-large. - The initiation, reviews, and support of projects and policies concerning student affairs and services.
- The initiation of services offered by the Student Association Student Senate and Student Association
- Formally surveying students to identify student needs and issues
- Promoting student academic concerns to appropriate members of the UW-River Falls faculty and administration, UW System Administration, UW Board of Regents, Wisconsin state legislature, Wisconsin Governor, United States Congress, and President of the United States.

Diversity & Women’s Initiative Committee
This committee will consist of six Student Senators and four students at large. - The initiation, reviews, and support of projects and policies concerning diversity issues and women’s initiatives.
- The promotion diversity issues and women’s initiatives and concerns to appropriate members of the UW-River Falls faculty and administration, UW System Administration, UW Board of Regents, Wisconsin state legislature, Wisconsin Governor, United States Congress, and President of the United States.
- The networking with campus student organizations to provide a forum for review and response to issues of diversity and women’s initiatives.
- The networking with campus student and faculty committees active 3 in diversity issues and women’s initiatives.
- The networking with other UW system diversity issues and women’s initiatives groups.

Ethics
This committee consists of three Student Senators. -
This is a standing committee that only meets when there is a question involving the bylaws, election processes, and/or other student government documents.

The committee will meet on any major questions posed by any student on a student government issue.

Any questions should be written to the chair, deliberated to the committee, and the chair should write the response.

Chair duties are to contact members and to set up any meetings needed.

Committee duties are to make educated decisions about controversies and questions that exist in student government documents.

Executive
This committee consists of all Student Association Student Senate Directors, the Ethics Chair/Parliamentarian, the Vice President, and the President. - Generally advising the Student Association Student Senate and Student Association.
- Coordinating the work of the Student Association Student Senate.
- Orientating and educating new Student Association Student Senators as to their responsibilities.
- Recommending to the Student Association Student Senate a summer senator if the elected Student Association Student Senate President is not able to fulfill the duties of the summer senator.
- Setting goals for the Student Association Student Senate operations.

Finance
This committee consists of four Student Senators and four students at-large. - Developing policies and procedures related to the Shared Governance account (#433) and the Reserve account (#501)
- Making recommendations to the Student Senate regarding expenditures from these accounts
- Monitoring activity in these accounts
- Monitoring both non-allocable and allocable segregated fees to ensure that members of the UW-River Falls Student Association are receiving appropriate benefits from them
- Assist the Finance Director as requested

Legislative
This committee consists of three Student Senators and four students at-large. - Promoting student views on policy and legislative issues to appropriate members of the UW-River Falls faculty, administration, UW System Administration, UW Board of Regents, Wisconsin state legislature, Wisconsin Governor, United States Congress, and President of the United States.
- Networking and coordinating legislative activities with other UW System Universities and United Council

Shared Governance
This committee consists of four senators and four students at-large. - Initiating and coordinating recommendations and appointments to the Student Association Student Senate in regards to University Committees at various capacities
- Networking with campus shared governance groups and developing the relationship between UW-River Falls students, faculty, administration and ultimately the UW System
- Working to advance students' rights and responsibilities, consistent with state law
- Coordinating and initiating recruitment programs for University and Student Association Student Senate Committees
- Coordinating and initiating recognition programs for members of University and Student Association Student Senate committees
- Writing an article for the university newspaper biweekly
- Organizing the facilitating a Shared Governance training session within the first five weeks of the term
