Wireless Access in the Residence Halls
  1. Lobbies (front desk area) of all residence halls
  2. Study lounges on the first floor and above (except in Johnson Hall).
  3. Parts of the basement in the residence halls with a basement. Areas that are covered include the lounge areas (places with chairs, couches, etc), game areas and a majority of the conference rooms.

Due to the nature of wireless networking, DoTS cannot guarantee connectivity outside of the areas mentioned above. People may find that they can connect anywhere in a building, however, if they have connectivity issues, DoTS will only work to resolve the issue if they are in the areas that are supported. With wireless networking there are many things that can cause problems such as cordless phones, microwaves, and physical objects in the way blocking the signal.

If you have any questions related to wireless service in all campus buildings please contact DoTS(external) at (715)425-HELP(4357) or dots@uwrf.edu(email).
