Due to the nature of wireless networking, FredNet cannot guarantee connectivity outside of the areas mentioned above. People may find that they can connect anywhere in a building, however, if they have connectivity issues, FredNet will only work to resolve the issue if they are in the areas that are supported. With wireless networking there are many things that can cause problems such as cordless phones, microwaves, and physical objects in the way blocking the signal. If you have any questions related to wireless service in the residence halls, University Center, or Hunt and Knowles please contact FredNet at (715)425-FRED(3733) or frednet@uwrf.edu . If there are questions related to wireless in the academic buildings, please contact ITS Helpdesk at (715)425-HELP(4357) or help@uwrf.edu .
