The Department of Residence Life strives to provide a safe, comfortable and clean environment for residence hall students at a reasonable cost. Our dedicated staff is committed to helping build a sense of community where students are actively involved in shaping their out-of-classroom experiences. Ten university residence halls house 2,400 students. With 40 percent of our student body living on campus, we are one of the most residential campuses in the University of Wisconsin System. Living on campus offers not-to-be-missed opportunities that provide lasting friendships and memories for years to come.

Current students, get ready for fall! Tell us which organizations interest you. Starting in March, sign up for a meal plan. Sign up for housing (see our housing signup brochure): Phase I - Monday, April 7, 2008 through Tuesday, April 8, 2008: Sign up for your current room. Phase II - Thursday, April 10, 2008 through Friday, April 11, 2008: Sign up for a room in your current residence hall. Phase III - Monday, April 14, 2008 through Friday, April 18, 2008: Current UWRF hall residents may sign up for a space in any residence hall. Phase IV - Monday, April 28, 2008 through Thursday, May 1, 2008: Current UWRF students living off campus who have completed a housing contract and paid the $125.00 housing deposit/processing fee at the Residence Life Office may sign up for any available residence hall space.
