Start of Fall

The first meal of the fall meal plan is Sunday, September 2, 2007 dinner.

Returning students move in Monday, September 3, 2007 through Tuesday, September 4, 2007. You must be checked into your residence hall by 8:00am Wednesday, September 5, 2007, or you will lose your room assignment.

If you have started using your fall meal plan and you want to change plans, you may do so by coming to the Dining Services office between Monday, September 24, 2007 and Friday, October 5, 2007

Thanksgiving Break

Residence halls remain open. Please inform your RA if you plan to stay over break.

Student Affairs offices are closed Thanksgiving day but open on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

The last meal before Thanksgiving break is Tuesday, November 20, 2007 lunch, and service resumes on Monday, November 26, 2007 breakfast.

End of Fall

Here is some end of term residence hall info.

Are you moving off campus or withdrawing from the University? Please consult your RA to make the appropriate arrangements. Checking out improperly can cost you.

Do you need to return a bedloft before break? Meet the bedloft.com staff on Monday, December 17, 2007 between 10:00am and 11:00am behind David Rodli Commons or between 11:30am and 12:30pm behind Hathorn Hall.

The last meal of the fall meal plan is Friday, December 21, 2007 lunch.

Bonus points expire at the end of the term. Check your balance, and use them or lose them.

You can sign up for a spring meal plan or change the one you have online from Monday, December 3, 2007 through Thursday, January 10, 2008.

Knowles Center is closed from Tuesday, December 11, 2007 until Tuesday, December 18, 2007

J-Term/Winter Break

If you're staying in the halls over break, you must sign up for break housing.

Student Affairs offices are closed on Monday, December 24, 2007, Tuesday, December 25, 2007, Monday, December 31, 2007, Tuesday, January 1, 2008, and Monday, January 21, 2008.

Knowles Center will be open from 12:00pm - 3:00pm on Monday, December 24, 2007 and Monday, December 31, 2007.

Hunt Arena will be open on Monday, December 24, 2007 and Monday, December 31, 2007.

Start of Spring

Residence halls are open for current students any time between Fall and Spring terms.

The first meal of the spring meal plan is Sunday, January 27, 2008 dinner.

If you have started using your spring meal plan and you want to change plans, you may do so by coming to the Dining Services office between Monday, February 18, 2008 and Friday, February 29, 2008.

Spring Break

Residence halls are open over spring break. Please inform your RA before you leave with dates you plan to be on campus during the break.

The last meal before spring break is Friday, March 14, 2008 lunch and meal services resume on Monday, March 24, 2008 breakfast.

Knowles Center is closed Sunday, March 23, 2008.

Room and Meal Plan Selection for Fall 2008

Meal plan signup is available starting in March 2008.

Phase I - Monday, April 7, 2008 to Tuesday, April 8, 2008: Sign up for your current room.

Phase II - Thursday, April 10, 2008 to Friday, April 11, 2008: Sign up for a room in your current residence hall.

Phase III - Monday, April 14, 2008 to Friday, April 18, 2008: Current UWRF hall residents may sign up for a space in any residence hall.

Phase IV - Monday, April 28, 2008 to Thursday, May 1, 2008: Current UWRF students living off campus who have completed a housing contract and paid the $125.00 housing deposit/processing fee at the Residence Life Office may sign up for any available residence hall space.

Here is a strategy that current residents might find useful when selecting a room. You can select your current room during phase I in case you can't get another room that you like better later in the process. You can only do this if your room is available to be selected. For example, if you live in a room that is going to be a First Year room next year, you won't be able to choose your current room. During phase II, you can choose a room in your current hall that you like better. Your previous selection will automatically be deleted. During phase III, you can choose a room anywhere on campus that you like better. Your previous selection will automatically be deleted.

End of Spring

Students living in the residence halls will receive check-out information from their RA closer to the end of spring term. There are floor meetings held to help answer students questions regarding express checkouts and moving out of the halls. Plan to attend these meetings.

If you plan on bringing a car to campus in the fall, Public Safety has the parking rules and regulations.

Knowles Center is closed from Tuesday, May 13, 2008 until the first day of Fall 2007 classes.
