FredNet Policies
To make your use of technology resources on campus as seamless and enjoyable as we can, we have implemented a few policies for using these shared technology resources.
This waiver allows FredNet Services to work on your personally owned computer equipment and is a part of the housing contract all on-campus residents sign.
This covers the use of non-UWRF owned wireless devices in the residence halls. Wireless access is now provided in the common areas (lobbies, lounges, and basement areas) where there are signs marking where FalconAir is available.
This policy covers general rules for using the network on campus. This covers our rights to disconnect computers from the network that are causing disruption or compromising the security of other residents. We also have a couple informational resources to help protect the "virtual you" when making decisions regarding sharing data and information with others.
We have created resources for you to use in making wise decisions about posting information online, how people may perceive you based on the information you post, and how to avoid costly lawsuits resulting from copyright infringement (sharing copyrighted music, movies, games etc.).
