FredNet requires any computer in the residence halls to be equipped with antivirus software . UWRF provides
antivirus
software free to all students while attending the university. You may also wish to protect yourself from
harmful spyware that can slow down your computer by downloading and installing the free anti-spyware client
Ad-Aware from
lavasoftUSA.
If you do not have everything you need to get your computer hooked up to the network, or you do not have a
TV cable, visit the
FredNet Store
and we will help you get up and running in no time.

If you are having technology problems in your residence hall you can
submit an issue
for our technicians to work on. Once you submit an issue we will contact you to set up an appointment.
Just fill out the issue form and click on "Go" at the bottom of the form.

We are located in the basement of East
Hathorn
.
To get to FredNet you need to go around the back of
Hathorn Hall
and go into the east entrance and we are right there.
