All-Campus Events/Picnics
There are several all-campus events a year that are co-sponsored by Dining
Services and included in your meal plan. This allows you to use your meal plan to enjoy the
events and food, such as the Weeks of Welcome picnic, the Chancellor’s Late Night Breakfast,
and the annual Unity in the Community picnic and more!
Check out our events!
Catered Meal Exchange
You can use one meal from your meal plan to pay for one approved catered meal per
term. Catered meals shall be decided one year in advance. Meals approved for
the Catered Meal Exchange will be determined by the Dining Services Advisory
Committee (DSAC) prior to the beginning of the Academic year.
Guest Meals
Specified meal plans include 5 guest meal passes per term. These may only be used in
Riverside Commons in the company with the meal plan participant. Guest meals may not be
used for Premium/Theme or Special Event meals, including within Riverside Commons. Guest
meals may be used at all-campus picnics where the events serve as the primary dining option
for meal plan participants. Guests meals expire at the end of each term.
Sack Meals
Sack meals may be arranged when meal times conflict with your class schedule, work, or other campus activities.
To participate in the sack meal program, you are required to complete the Sack Meal Request Form. The form must
be submitted no later than the day prior to the intended missed meal. Sack meals will be discontinued if you fail
to pick up the meal two consecutive times without proper notification. Sack meal request forms are also available
at the University Dining Services Office in the University Center.
Sick Trays
If you are ill, you may arrange a sick tray with the approval of your Hall Manager and/or the Health Nurse. To
obtain a sick tray, a Sick Tray Request Form (accompanied by your student ID) must be completed and delivered to
a Dining Services Manager in University Center at least one hour before the serving time ends for a particular
meal period. The Dining Service personnel are not responsible for delivery of your sick tray. Therefore, you
should make arrangements for someone to deliver your meal.
Transfer Meals
Instead of eating at Riverside Commons, several retail dining venues offer transfer meals for your convenience
and variety. Transfer meals are only available during designated
transfer hours and are limited to the identified
daily specials. A transfer meal will pay for $6.00 in food. Additional items may be purchased, however you must
cover the difference with a seperate form of tender.
