Meal Plans

The meal plan program is available to all UWRF students. All dining venues are conveniently located in University Center. We offer continuous dining at Riverside Commons, the all-you-care-to-eat dining room, which is the primary location for students participating on a meal plan. The meal plan program offers students several options for dining including transfer meals, premium and theme meals each month, the opportunity to enjoy all-campus picnics, arrange sick trays when ill and have the option of a sack meal when conflicts with classes, work, or other activities arise.

There are times during each term when meal plan service is limited or no meal plan service is offered, specifically during the beginning of each term, finals week, holidays and term breaks. There are also events, such as all campus picnics, which interfere with standard meal plan service and dining venue hours of operation. The meal offered at these specified events will serve as the meal plan meal. Review important meal plan days of service and meal plan featured events to see those dates.

All Meal Plan participants are eligible to attend the end of the term appreciation events at no charge. These are the Chancellor's Late Night Breakfast this fall and the Falcon Fair-well during the spring.

Meal plan rates and programs are defined per term. The fall term meal plan selection will be considered the spring term meal plan if no changes are made during the spring term 2010 meal plan signup period. Students who are required to participate in a meal plan and do not select a meal plan will be assigned the Weekly 14 Meal Plan. All students have the opportunity to select another authorized meal plan prior to January 29, 2010.

Mandatory Meal Plan Policy

All students residing in the residence halls (with the exception of South Fork Suites residents) are required to select a meal plan as a part of their room and board. Students may choose from any of the meals plans offered, with the exception of the 60+ Block Plan which is restricted to students who have earned 60 or more credits, South Fork Suites residents, and commuter students. There are a few exceptions(PDF) to this policy. More information about meal plans can be found in the University Dining Services(PDF) contract.

If you are a commuter, you are not required to be on a meal plan. However, many commuters find our meal plans appealing.
