Isolation Meal Box Procedures
Isolation Meal Boxes are available to on-campus students enrolled in a Meal Plan. An Isolation Meal Box is a box of food and beverage items intended to provide
the equivalent of three meals of food and beverage to an individual with flu-like symptoms. For each Isolation Meal Box Request Form submitted, Dining Services will provide
one delivery per person, per day.

Prevention
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or use your sleeve when you cough or sneeze
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
- Avoid contact with those who are sick
- Get vaccinated against the seasonal and H1N1 influenza

Notification and Delivery Procedures
- UWRF resident students who suspect they may have the flu are asked to follow Residence Life Guidelines pertaining to H1N1.

Those who are sick are asked not to risk infecting others. Please self isolate and remain so until you have been symptom free
(without fever–reducing meds) for a minimum of 24 hours.

Please complete the Isolation Meal Box Request Form. Should you not have email access please call
Sodexo at (715)425-3274 and they will complete the online request for you.

Isolation Meals consist of a pre-determined menu based upon a recommended diet of clear liquids and foods best tolerated for those with flu-like symptoms.
The student requesting the Isolation Meal will self select from two menu options: Stage One – for most severe symptoms or Stage Two – when symptoms begin to subside.
All menu items are shelf stable and easily stored and prepared in individual rooms with refrigerator and microwave.
- Please note there is only one Isolation Meal Box delivery per person per day. Each Box includes food and beverage for 3 meals.
- Isolation Meals ordered by 8:00am will be delivered to the halls after 9:00am and will include food and beverage items for breakfast, lunch and dinner that day.
- Isolation Meals ordered by 3:00pm will be delivered after 4:00pm and will include food and beverage items for dinner that day and breakfast and lunch the following day.

Isolation Meals will be delivered to your residence hall and room. The delivery staff will knock on your door and announce “meal delivery” and will leave the box
on the floor immediately outside your entrance.
- By completing the Isolation Meal Box Request Form you are authorizing Dining Services to deduct two Meal Plan meals, lunch and dinner, from your plan.
- A new Isolation Meal Request Box Form must be completed for each day an Isolation Meal Box is being requested.
